I need to make "Fishnet" and render it in photo view.
I've tried with Chain Link appearances, but it will only sound in photo view.
If I use extruded cut and linear pattern becomes a heavy part for solidworks.
Does anyone have an idea for how I can handle my problem
You can create a custom hole mesh by editing an appearance and clicking on the Surface Finish tab and clicking custom hole mesh from the drop down list. (Make sure you have the advanced tab selected)
If you are able to watch youtube i show how to do this at the end of this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhDdl9Bj9kg
My example is a speaker grille but it works equally well for something like net. You just need to find or create a grayscale image i typically do this by searching for a bump map. (you may have to invert it)
**EDIT** actually just read your post again, even this will only show in realview graphics (you need a workstation card e.g. Nivdia Quadro) or photoview at the moment unfortunately.
cheers
