Install PDMWW server on non solidworks computer

Dear PDMWW User.......

I have a computer without solidworks software on that computer.
Is it possible to use that computer as PDMWW server by installing PDMWW server and PDMWW Admin ?

I have tried but I can`t access that computer as a PDMWW server. Is there any mistake option or basically I need more PDMWW Contributor licence, then install on that computer to use that computer as PDMWW server ?

Hi Designer^2
You can install PDMWW on a computer whitout SW software. Weactually have it install on a server without SW.
I think your problem is :
1- In the logging window you don't have put the right name for theserver (go to the system properties, Computer name tab, copy thename in your logging window and it would be great).
2- The service is not running on the computer where you installPDMWW.

  I agree with Stephane you can install the PDMworks vault to a computer that does not have SW intalled. We have our vault on one of our servers. Also no you don't need to install the PDMworks admin on the same computer with the vault. I am our admin and I have PDMworks admin installed on my pc and and access the vault just fine. If possible you might want to attend a PDMworks training. It is usally a day long.

I need a confirm about this :
I must install pdm server + pdm admin or I can install pdm server only ?

About PDM Training, BTW is the training include how to use and implement trigger ?

Have you PDM Trigger tutorial ?
Why I ask this, because now trigger include in basic pdm, not require advance server.

  In the training that I had triggers was not included or really even mentioned. In the book from training it mentions about ten word about triggers than goes on to say that the use of triggers is beyond the scope of this course.

so......you not implement pdm trigger now ?
i think you must start to use pdm trigger, as i know.....it`s very good tools.

  As of right now we are not going be using triggers. I need to learn more about it. The other is we are just staring to import our existing files into the vault. Once that is done I will look at triggers more closely.
