Hello,
Is there a way to rename the same components used in an assembly so I can identify each one by name? For example, nozzles 1" size on a tank have different names, eg. N1, G1, etc. Using SW 2013.

Thanks, Kevin. What I would like is if it is possible to see in the left hand bar in an assembly where the parts are listed various names of the same parts used multiple places, so it is easily identifiable just by looking at the side bar, instead of clicking and checking every part to find out the name from the configuration.
thanks,
You could always just look at the instance ID number .... it should be displayed .... partname<1> in the feature manager tree... the <1> is the instance id number ... if you have 10 of the same part in your assembly then they would be numbered 1-10. I you CAN NOT change the instance ID number... and if you delete #5 they will not change their numbers, and the next one you add will be #11.
You could use configurations to do that.
