Hello,
I'm new to solidworks, I really want to use to for my Land Rover, building bumpers and accessories for it. My question is how would I convert a bumper that I made in a 3d sketch to sheet metal? I can sketch and do basic functions decently now, I tried using the sheet metal tool, but i kept getting a missing edge / face notification, how do i fix or correct what I'm doing for that, I have pretty much all of the dimensions for this bumper (shown below), and would like to build that one.Would this be a hard first official drawing?
Dane, This would be a tough one/first one. have a look at this one at Grabcad, http://grabcad.com/library/metallic-bumper It's pretty similar to what you're trying to do. Hopefully the files you can download will give you a big push on this task. It's free to join and download.
On checking the reviews of that recommendation I find that the files for the assembly were not included as required. There are likely more of them there.
