I have poked around for a situation similar to mine but I have been unable to find one, so here is what I am looking at.

We were given a 3D model of a component from an OEM.  We have integrated it into a larger model, and now we are looking to see the change in the weight and CG resulting from the installation.  The model we were given is a surface model, essentially a shell of the product that has no material properties or internal detailing.  The OEM also provided a drawing of the component that has the CG location and weight.  I am wondering if it is possible to add the mass at the CG in the surface model such that I can retrieve new CG data from the installation.
