I'm trying to show the wire label instead of the wire mark as default. I've setup the wire label with a custom drawing to show the wire gauge and color, but when I insert a wire, it comes in by default as a wire mark.
Any ideas out there?
I'm currently working on this issue too. I've looked for a way to edit the format of the wire mark (size, color, location so it can be embedded in the wire), but haven't found anything. It's kind of a pain to highlight the entire drawing, hide wire marks, then go back and manually add the equi or wire label to each wire.
Yeah, if you go to the Configurations tab, then to the Graphics tab, you'll see there are locations to modify the wire label and other labels, but not the wire mark. Seems like the ability to customize the mark itself would be a good, widely used feature. I need to add that to my list of feature enhancements to submit.
Hi guys, you can configure wire and equipotential marks in two ways.
Only wire and equipotential labels can sit over the wire and "break" the line by using wipeout frames. And, you're right, they can't be added by default.
what are these wipeout frames you speak of!! I would love to be able to place wire labels overlayed on the wire
I believe Michael is talking about the Wipeout function on the Draw tab:
I am stuck waiting for my client to be upgraded to match the server (2016 to 2017 transition) So I can't check this out. But can the wipeout frame be part of the wire label symbol (great!) ? Or is it a drawing element that needs to be added separately from the label symbol (not good)?
I actually have the same question. Anybody found an answer in the last 2 years?
I don't think they have implemented the enhancement request yet. Go to the customer portal, and select enhancement requests under My Support. Add your vote to the following enhancement requests: 753554, 857809, 968646. I don't know why there are 3 basically identical enhancement requests, but vote on all three so that eventually one of them gets enough votes to get higher priority for the developers.
