Hello,
I have a request from a customer to show weld length in some part drawings. I normally don't place welds in my part models; instead I just insert the weld symbol in the drawing. Anyway, I inserted the weld bead in the part using the "Weld Bead" function on the Weldments toolbar. It created a Weld Folder in the tree, above "Cut list". I expand this folder, click Properties, and it shows the weld length. Great. Now how in the world do I show this in my drawing? I've tried every way that I can think of to link to it in a note or custom property but I haven't had any luck. It's probably one of those things that's really simple and will make me feel stupid, but I'm used to that. Can anyone help?
Hi Glenn,
I have to agree with you that I too cannot figure a way to show the weld length in a table.
I had thought that once you started adding weld beads you might have had the option to insert a special table but no such luck.
I would have thought that the ability to produce a weld list would have been something that a lot of people would require.
Thanks
Mark
