    Getting a new computer

    Patrick Morris

My son has basically made his decision to go for engineering for college.  He is studying solidworks in school and wants to get his solidworks professional certification before he graduates.  My question is this...I work with these computers on a daily basis and use them for computer animation (Autodesk Maya and 3DS Max) will this be a good computer for solid works?  I have experience with them and know they work well for animation stuff but don't know what kind of demand solidworks will put on the processor and video cards. I can change the video card our for a Quadro professional series video card if needed.
