Forming tools on edges

Hello,

Just learned how it works the forming tools.

Fully clear when it works on flat surfaces, but..... how should it be solved when forming tool must push on a bend ??

I have seen next way to do it:  First standard model of the bump, and then shell from behind....

Really hard to believe that this is the appropiate solution !!!! On top of that, how should we unbend such a part ??

Can anybody give me advice on these technique???
