How can i suppress equation in solid works 2014 ??
Pretty simple answer unfortunately; you can't. I have my VAR working on getting this added back to the software. If you have models that have suppressed equations in them before they're opened up in SW2014 you'll still have the option to suppress. Once all of the equations have been unsuppressed you will no longer have the option to suppress equations. This is a major plunder as far as I'm concerned.
Is there going to be a fix on this? My vendor coundn't answer. It's not been fixed on SP4.
Assemblies that I have with configurations of parts that are suppressed with equations attached to them are now coming up with an error in the equations manager unless I rebuild them every time I open them.
They didn't give me a problem in 2012.
I need to know If I need to seperate my configs into seperate assemblies or not, which is a step backwards if you ask me!
I'm on with my VAR now and they are baffled. I hope this is fixed soon.
We're running SP4.0 and just recently upgraded to 2014. We came from 2012 SP5.0
Any news if this is a bug or something we're going to have to live with?
Hope gents will fix it in 2015......
Are you looking to suppress equations in SW 2014?? This is pretty simple. Click in the equation and you should see a drop down menu (similar to when you change dimensions) for suppressing equations for all, this or selected configuration(s). Will post a video soon.
I've found a work around.
Have all the parts unsupressed on all of your configurations and use "linked display states" and configure the parts originally suppressed in each configuration to "exclude from bom"
That way the equations will work without errors.
