I've never played around with motion analysis before so it could be I just need more than the incredibly limited tutorial...(which the tutorial doesn't even produce the expected results from the SW installed files). Anyway...
I have a ramped slider, constrained on both ends by support blocks. In the middle is an arm that gets pushed left or right as the ramped edges touch.
In order to both push and pull it has a ramp on each side.
However, when I apply a contact between the two parts and move the wedge it completely ignores the contact and lets it just slide on through.
I included the 2011 model also. I added some springs to provide resistance as the wireframe is deforming the attached part. And I had to add a damper because without contact the force causes the slider to fly out of view immediately.
The fact that the installed motion tutorial file doesn't provide the expected results makes me wonder if there's something hokey with my installation wrt Motion.
