Transition Sections

I work for a manufacturing company that designs and manufactures stainless steel equipment for the food pocessing industry. On many occasions we need to make transition sections, square to round, rectangle to round, offset square to round, and that sort of thing. It is a major headache however to try to get these modelled up so that a proper flat blank is produced that can be folded on a pressbrake.

I have tried using the lofted bend approach and used a polygon instead of a circle to try to represent the how it will actually be manufactured. It looks okay as a model, BUT, both in SW2006 SP5.1 and SW2007 SP2.1 bend lines do NOT appear in the flat pattern and the measure tool will not select any of the facets created so I cannot check bend angles.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this or can someone suggest another method or workaround.
