I have some little issues here. I have added some tapped holes but I can't see the tapping visual in 3D or drawing? Any ideas?
The threads are cosmetic or pictoral only, if you want to see real 'cut' threads you will have to model them yourself. I did notice you used "Tap Drill" for the clearance holes too in the top bar, you can more easily use the standard hole tool, then select "ANSI Metric" then select from the dropdown "Screw Clearances". Just a suggestion of course.
You need to upload your part files with your assembly?
Go to Tools > Options > Detailing & make sure both cosmetic thread options are selected.
Thansk for your time. I have checked and both cometic thread options are selected.
In that case can you post an image of what you are seeing marked with what you are wanting to see.
And as Anna stated, the parts need to be zipped & posted with the assy.
Do you have "View, All Annotations" checked in the model view? Also be sure that "Custom Sizing" has not been checked and edited to make the tap drill about the same size as the major thread diameter. You could check that on the drawing sheet as well by using "Hole Callout".
Hi I am still struggling. I could not able to upload the part files? I can't see any icon for attachments? can anyone help please? Cheers
Use "Pack & Go" from assembly file, create zip file and post that one.
Here is the file that having issues with viewing the tapping.
You have "Tap Drill" Hole Wizard selected, you need to select "Tapped Hole".
Thanks for pointing out my mistakes. I can see the tapping information in the drawing view. Can i able to view threaded visual in the 3D like to see the internal/external thread on the 3D view?
Thank you very much. It helps a lot.
