What is the easiest way of installing an o-ring in a shaft assembly. I have an assembly that requires installation of different sizes of O-Rings on different pins or shafts in an assembly. I had been using the insertion of planes to do this but I find this to be time consuming. Is there some other tricks out there? It would be nice if I can just use the Concentric and Coincidence for relationship but this does not work on O-Rings.
Create configurations for the different sizes of O-rings
For mates, create an axis (for concentric mates) in the o-ring part. Also add planes tangent to face (for coincident mates)
Now using mate references you can create predefined mates in the o-ring so that when you drop/insert the file into an assembly, the mating would be easy/automatic (similar to like your drop/insert toolbox part part and they jump into the place..
