Has anyone used the solidworks electrical 2D wiring line diagram to generate its 3D electrical sketch in solidworks electical 3D? was it successful? were you able to automatically route the wires according to 2D wiring line diagram by hiting '' route wire'' ?

I am currently having the same issue as Piyumi. I am puzzled by your reply - "routed to in its first level". the very simple project I have contains two connectors with 3 wires between at L1. I have tried and failed to generte routes when using the project level assembly "Test Project" level, nor at L1 assembly. Perhaps I misunderstand your reference to "first level"?

First of all, Solidworks Electrical 2D doesn´t define the 3D route your wires must take. In oder to define it, you must draw a 3D sketch and use the option: "solidworks Electrical\Create conection route" and select the sketch. Other option is to use some parths which include "ew_path" property, which will guide your wires. If none of these are present, the routes will be random.
If no wire appeared, there may be two main options:
Otherwise, it would be helpfull if you could give more information abouth the state you achieved before giving up.
