If I could keep SolidWorks 3D modeling tools and replace its FEA simulation with ANSYS FEA package…… WoW!
Why ANSYS? Abaqus is the way to go for structural and many other types of problems.
ANSYS 14 loads as a SolidWorks add in. Now, can you afford it?
what limitation do you have in solidworks simulation that makes you want to go to ansys?
Why using ANSYS ? SolidWorks Simulation is easy to use and works in the SolidWorks interface: all other tools do not have real integration, it's just a data tranfer back and forth between two different interfaces.
I've rarely seen applications in which you need to switch to high end CAE tool. But then, why not staying "in the family" and using Simulia ABAQUS ?
