I am trying to make a few simple spur gears. When I create the part, and change the pitch diameter, teeth, and so on it will not change. The gear is the same as it first rendered. The only change that is made are the hubs, besides that nothing else will.
I do not understand the purpose of the part you have sent me. I have not used solidworks for a while, I opened it up again today, and the problem persists. Also, what do you mean by "bad teeth?" Do you mean that the equation of the toolbox is incorrect?
Can't say your gear is bad without seeing it (can you post?). I can say that many products I have seen that used Toolbox gears have chronic noise and wear problems due to incorrect teeth.
If you value your design, verify the gear tooth geometry.

Ooh! That's exactly the kind of trouble one doesn't want. The gear tooth profiles are simple arcs. Barely suitable for cosmetic purposes; completely unsuitable for power transfer.

I have just found out that the solidworks spur gear toolbox part was saved over accidentally as a spur gear I made. Now I need a way to resave the original spur gear as the toolbax part, with the correct equations to update automatically.

Before anyone goes ballistic, this is not intended to be a slam on GearTrax. I've used GearTrax-generated gears, and they're just fine. It is just an exploration and analysis of the geometry.
Plus, this post is a few years old. I don't know if GearTrax has evolved.
Is there anyway I can get my toolbox back to normal? Or is the final ultimatum that I must uninstall and re-install Solidworks?

As far as your design goes, if you aren't able to make gear geometry yourself, bring in someone who can. In the meantime, you can still do much. Design your gear train in the rough, and determine the gear sizes you need (pitch, diameter, etc.). Then, when you bring in a 3rd party, most of the hard work is already done.
what version of SW do you have I can give you my whole tool box I run 2014 sp1. i think it would be pointless to reinstall solidworks for 1 gear.
There goes geartrax, you cant use the models of gears that are in tool box for manufacturing either. Dont the gears have to be recalculated
Yes, I need to be able to change the teeth, pitch, and other items of the gears. As for my solidworks, I have Solidworks 2013-2014 Student Edition.

FIRST make sure your toolbox gear's tooth geometry doesn't suck. Almost every download or Toolbox-derived gear I've seen has bad teeth that would make a Brit blush.
