How to create pyramid extruded hole in a rectangular plate/sheet??
If possible please include snapshots.
What version of SolidWorks you're using?? Attached a video to explain the method and SW2011 example file (can't make example file lower than this version).
The forum doesn't allow more than 10mb file, so here is link to download the video
Welcome to SolidWorks forums Ankit.
What exactly shape you looking for??. You can create a rectangle/square and do a extrude cut with taper option.
Check attached part for an example.

Thank you for the reply.
I couldn't open the file you posted. I want to create hollow 4 side walled pyramids in a rectangle/square box as in figure.
I'm not sure what you really mean by pyramid extruded hole. May be you should attach a picture of what you are trying to do. See the attachment if this is what you are trying to do. If yes, this could be done by checking draft option and giving angle while doing extrude cut.
Thank you for the reply Krishna.
I want to create a 3D file like in figure. I am new to solidworks so if you can give some details it would be appeciated. Thank you.
Ankit, see the attached file. Is this what you are looking for?
If you use the same feature hole throughout various projects, I would suggest setting up a "form feature" tool.
You would need to set up various configurations for the form tool for material thickness but thi isn't to difficult to do.
