I would think your schools teacher could get that number for you...................
The origianl science teacher who was supporting our First Robotics Team is gone and the teacher we have is the wood shop teacher who has deligated this type of items to Mentors. I am an engineer at the Boeing company in Seattle so i know a bit about technology.
The information that SW sent me gives a 24 feature serial Number but i have not recieved anything from SW on the school code. The help number listed for educational procudts 1-800-693-9000 in essence says 1) look at the web site, and i have 2) buy a suppport subscripton.
Do you have a contact at SW who can provide hte school codes, they are 8 features long.
Check out this thread for some contact info.
I am thinking the info you need is being e-mailed to the original teachers e-mail address. Who is the school using as their reseller for their SolidWorks purchase? Try and contact them for help. Or the paperwork that was generated from the original PO for the purchase. Which is probably impossible to get.
Do the school IT people have any info?
SolidWorks indiates that they are supporitng Frist Robotics and that we can download the Student Design Kit for FREE for use in the competition so there is NO purchase order for the Student Design Kit. If the Student Design Kit is just some type of add on to the bsic SolidWorks application, then sinc the school that i am supporting does not have the basic SolidWorks softwer, then this will not ork. i willl try the links listed above.
SolidWorks sponsors any FIRST team that is registered with FIRST.
Go to www.solidworks.com/StudentSponsorship
You will receive the SolidWorks Robotics KIT which features SolidWorks Premium, SolidWorks Simulation and SolidWorks Electrical.
You must specify that you require SolidWorks Electrical in the Sponsorship application.
Software is shipped to the team address.
Go to www.solidworks.com/FIRST for tutorials and parts (parts will be updated in January)
