I have these two exploded screws (item 34) that can't seem to stay put. I move them, and when I open the drawing, they move somewhere else. I move them back, and they move somewhere else. I've never seen this before.

Yes they are, is that a bad thing? I needed to move them up, then move them over, although I'm not sure why I had to move them over.
It is not a bad thing (sometimes it works very well). If a part is referenced to another explode step, changing the position of the those parts will also change the other.
Ths is happening ot me too....did you ever get an answer/explanation that worked?
I can't remember what the outcome was on this, so the answer is no. However, Jeff had good idea about it.
Make sure while you exploded them, they are not again referenced by another exploded step. Just a check.
It looks like the screws are also referenced in another explode step.
