Automatic route on drop of connector does not work.

Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix/workaround?

The problem is when I insert a connector it will not prompt me to start a new route even though the check box is checked. It will work if I insert a connector into a new assembly, but not if I insert it into an existing assembly.

I have found that if I insert the connector nothing happens, but if I copy it within the assembly SW brings up the route diologue box. It's a workaround, but It's also an extra step.

Is there a way to manually create a route assembly? I would like to insert new route assembly, then drag my connectors into it, then route so I have no external references. I would just put the connectors into the top level assembly and start a route, then drag the connectors into the routing sub-assembly, but then there are external references within the sketch, that even when deleted, do not go away. I do not like external references because SW cannot handle them as they claim it will.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
