I'm close to replicating the logo in the attached file, however I'm lost when it come to adding the stitching on the ribbon which is a surface extrude. It this possible in SW?
Thanks in advance,
If the ribbon could be made as a sheet metal part, then you could Unfold the part, add the stitching with a Split Line feature, and then Fold the part. This would require you to extrude the surface part with arcs rather than splines and thicken it, or extrude it as a thin solid in the first place.
I think making as a sheetmetal part will leave seam/fold lines which will take away from the flowing ribbon look. Maybe a thin solid might work.
What version of SolidWorks are you using?
Can you attach the file here (only need the ribbon geometry)?
I'm using SW13.
