Need a confirmation about PDMW Advance sever Licencing

Dear Support and PDM Users.......

To use trigger, should I have PDMW Advance server licence ?
I found in the solidworks help menu that we must have it.
I am using SW 2007 Off Premium.

  Well - it took me a while to get subscribed to the new forum :-)
  
  Anyway - the documentation has not caught up to the product changes:
  
  In 2007 we added Triggers to core PDMWorks. In order to use the Triggers functionality you must install the MSMQ Triggers functionality provided by Microsoft.
  
  Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components > Message Queuing > Details > Triggers (see attached image)

    SO, I do not need PDM Advance server to use trigger within Sw 2007 Off Premium, isn`t it ?

      Correct - since PDMWorks is included with SolidWorks Office Professional and Premium, you get triggers with it.

        So.....What is the function of PDM Advance server ?
        Is the function to handle / provide PDMWorks Web Portal only ?

        BTW I know how to install MSMQ, the problem is how to setting the integration between MSMQ & PDM Trigger. Why SolidWorks not provide sample or help file or tutorial for those ?
        Could you give me a tutorial to implement Trigger, please ?

        The PDMWorks Advanced Server has been discontinued and we now sell PDMWorks Workgroup Vierwer which is what you know as the Web Portal.
        Using triggers requires programming knowledge. For that reason you will find sample on the API suppoirt site at http://www.solidworks.com/page...vices/APISupport.html
        
        Look under API Examples and Downloads.
        
        Unfortunately I can't be a lot of help in this area as I am not a programmer.
        
        Also, this is a topic that get covered very well at SolidWorks World. I would recommend attending a session done by Jerry Winters.

        1. Is the user interface of PDMWorks Worksgroup Viewer same with PDMWorks Web Portal ?
        2. I hope in the next release of solidworks ( 2008 ) there will be a help file or tutorial on how to implement PDMW Trigger plus sample macro or program, like macro to create pdf file when check in a document, release, etc.....

        1. Is the user interface of PDMWorks Worksgroup Viewer same with PDMWorks Web Portal ?
        
        ---- Yes - we did add a new UI called the Search portal (in addition to the classic view) for casual users.
        
        2. I hope in the next release of solidworks ( 2008 ) there will be a help file or tutorial on how to implement PDMW Trigger plus sample macro or program, like macro to create pdf file when check in a document, release, etc.....

        For point 2, I hope at least solidworks provide tutorial on how to setting the intregation between MSMQ & Trigger. Not how to create the program.
        I hope it`s not a big job for Sw Tecnical Support / Development Team.
