Could someone explain to me how to do this, i had a friend help me out and it ended up correctly but i forgot how he did it sadly.

You should be able to reverse engineer the original from the feature history tree.
Move Sketch8 from the surface of the center disc to the Front Plane, which runs through the center of the disc and rings. (right-click on the sketch in the tree, select the "Edit sketch plane" icon, and select the Front Plane from the tree.) When you do that the Revolve will be centered on the other bodies.
