New 2014 has issues! note preview image on right and final render on left!
I'm not sure I see what you think is a problem. I would not expect the preview to look exactly the same as a final rendering. Are you referring to the difference in the colors, etc?
I've never seen one of my renders so far off from the preview. Final render came out to washed out. This forces me to go back and guess at a setting to get something more compeerable to the preview. Whats the point of a preview if it's not what you will be getting (or close to).
You could adjust the quality of the preview. It will make it slower but better match what the final render will look like. In general if your preview is set at good quality then your final render will always be brighter, have more reflection and more refraction in areas where the appearances make that appropriate.
Did that but no luck.
Thanks Rob, I upped it a notch just to see if it makes a difference.
Camelo, go into the image adjus panel of the PhotoView render windowt and either turn off bloom or adjust the luminance values.
Did both, running test again.
So I played with this a little more. I didn't change material but when I opened it up my part changed on me. Again I used white background with dull finish but part would not go back to dull, stayed more to the glossy look. I decided to just do the render and set the preview to best.
Based on my results, it seems to me that there definitely is some issues with it but I can't seem to nail it down. i guess I'll keep playing with the setting to see what changed because as you can see both look great with this run.
Left is final render, right is preview. This is what I expect with the software preview translating to the final render not like my fist one.
