hie can anyone say meshing in simulation eventhough the bodys are interfering each other
sometimes you can, sometimes you can't. but generally not a recommended practice. use cavity or similar to cut one part with another in an assembly to remove them.
but i need that interference without passing the interference issue i am unable to perform the simulation so how to skip that
If it is a designed interference, such as mounting a gear on a shaft, you could use press fit contact elements on the two surfaces that interfere.
actually in my problem purlin has to be on another purlin i.e.., two purlins lapping each other so while i am meshing the intergerence occurs on those two purlins lapping and stops......can i use press fit for those two purlins which are over lapping each other......
is this what you're talking about?
if thats the case, i don't see any reason why they would physically overlap.
without a picture of your specific case, it is hard to say whether the method applies but here is the info for shrinkfits:
there are also several articles about it in the solidworks kb at customerportal.solidworks.com
thank you sir
