Hello I am currently a student learning Solidworks as I am going to be taking the advanced Solidworks class at my college.  I am also going to be learning Pro E also next semester and I am in need of a new laptop for learning solidworks since mine was very inexpensive and had the minimum requirments for ram.  It does an ok job for learning but I have found that it is quite slow since I am now learning more and more about the software.  And if I attempt to do to many feature patterns and such it wont compute it.  The downside is that I do have a students budget so I do not have a lot of money to spend on a laptop that will do everything so my choices are quite limited from what it seems other forums are stating so I am going straight to the Solidworks forum to see if you guys can help.  I also do not know enough about computers to make this decision without help.  I have seen people recomend Dell Percision M4400, M6600, M6400, Lenovo Thinkpad W530 and mangh about computers to make this decision y more.  Now I have a budget of $1,000 dollars to spend on the laptop for school because as I stated I am a student with not alot of money to continue my Solidworks knowledge and to learn Pro E.  I have found those laptops on ebay reburbished for reasonable prices but reburb electronics and buying electronics on ebay have always made me skeptical.  Now I know there are alot of threads on this subject but alot of them confused me as I do not know alot about laptops so I figured I would ask with my $1,000 dollar budget in mind.  Also any recomendation on other laptops and the types of proccessors to look for, ram, and any other specs that will make a good laptop to further my education in Solidworks and learn Pro E next sememster would be greatly appreciated.  As I do not know alot about laptops

Thankyou for your advice,

R.D.
