When I try to dimension any sketch I make on any plane, SolidWorks crashes. Multiple crash reports have been sent to SolidWorks. I am running it on a Lenovo T430 with an i7 and 8 gigs of RAM.
An NVS card from Nvidia is about the worst card you can have for SolidWorks.
See if you can switch the system over to use the Intel HD 4000 system graphics. Probably a setting in the system BIOS.
For heavy SolidWorks use you should really have a W class laptop from Lenovo. http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/w-series/w530/
You have a system for the sales guy. Not suited for the engineer.
Welcome to the forum. What graphics card are you using?
NVIDIA NVS 5400M. I have been able to dimension before but now it doesn't work.
I actually am using the Intel graphics. I uninstalled and reinstalled SolidWorks and it fixed it. Thank you for your advise Anna, when I am using SolidWorks I will be sure that I am on the Intel card.
