How effectively We can use solidworks feature recognition tool while convert Pro-e(.prt) to solidworks (.sldprt)
It's completely depeds on the complexity of the part.
If it is a simple shape SW can recognize the features, but it deosn't do anything if it is 3D shape or profile.
I am out of luck in most cases

It also depends on how you do the feature recognition. The fully automatic option is usually not a good idea; interactive is much better. You need to learn the best methods by trial and error. There are some basic rules, like picking the fillets first and working through the features in backwards order to how you think the part was built, but it all comes down to how well you can manipulate the system.
