Hi,
I don't really know how to explain this problem but here goes. I'm currently using SolidWorks 2012 Simulation and have been running various FEAs. When I'm interested in the result on a specific area I use the Probe tool.
However I can't see the results, well not a significant part of them. I can't see the figure for the exponential! I can see it's 1.6365x10? but not the power the 10 is raised to.
There should be a screen capture attached here:
Basically I need to change the width of the column that the numerical result is in. I've tried clicking on the column seperator, double-clicking, click and drag, right click, etc. and nothing seems to work.
The only way I can get the numbers I want out is to save the CSV file, open that with Excel and use Excel formulae to five me max, min, average, etc.. So I know (now) that for the above example the maximum was 4.8414E+07. That's quite a lot more than 4.8414e+00!!
What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be appreciated,
Regards,
Hi Doug,
The problem is that the cell width is smaller than value so you cannot see all of the text. If you go to the header cell, you should be able to resize the column width. At that point you should be able to see the entire value.
