Quick question - is there a way to add a legend to a multi-series plot in a Motion Analysis study?
i don't think that is possible. i've always just shown 2 plots or done the plotting in excel to get both at the same time.
but i may not be following what you're trying to do. what are you plotting? can you post a picture?
if there is an option it is in the right click menu in the results plot dialog box (popup when you show the results).
I'm just plotting some assembly part torque requirements, but can't tell which is which by looking at the chart. I know just from the model, but anyone outside wouldn't. I like the export to excel idea, will do that from now on for multi-series plots.
I checked all property sections (both axes, chart) but nothing that I could see would put one in. Seems odd that they give the option to add a series to an existing chart but not differenciate them in any way - I thought I just missed a check box or something.
yep. if you find a way inside the software, let me know.
i think i ran into this last time where i had different scales for the 2 parameters. i didn't know which belonged to which.
Yeah, I had that too before I found you could at least combine them for better comparison.

Yes you did.
Check "Multiple Y axes" then assign color of axis to match color of plot.
However Excel will do a far better job as there are lots of "unmaintained" characteristics of SW MS plots.
