Hello all,

I know this question has been asked in the past (last thread I saw was from 2011) but I'm wondering if anything new has been suggested.  I have a small job with a rolled steel cylinder with holes cut around the perimeter.  I basically made a new plane parallel to the right plane and tangent to outside of cylinder to locate hole.  The holes in it will appear elliptical as they should.  When I make a drawing of the part, I cannot dimension to center of these holes from the top down since they are elliptical.  I get the common error "the selected entity could not be converted into a line or circular arc".  This pertains to any of the holes besides the one normal to the view on the screen (skewed holes off center or the flat pattern holes).  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Perhaps I'm not going about this correctly for making the extruded cut holes and arraying around the cylinder.  Thanks.
