Hi all,
Is there anyway to delete config specific custom properties that are embedded into my already created Toolbox part configs?
When I open the part it opens as read only so if i manually delete the custom properties it doesnt save. So first question would be is there any way to open without read only and if not are there any other alternatives to achieve this?

I am struggling with this issue also. My solution has been as follows:
Note that this only works if you have exclusive access to the file. In other words, if you are on a network Toolbox install you need to take additional steps to make sure nobody else is using the file. (Easier said than done.) You might need to have everyone else close their SolidWorks session to be certain.

The toolbox isnt a network version and i'm the sole user so there's no issues there.
David that sounds like a fair workaround for what I need, will give it a go later on.

Jack, the process David has suggested can be achieved via a macro which will open all files and update/delete the properties. I'm not sure if a similar macro exist but yes can be made.
Not sure but feel that this can be also achieved via SolidWorks Task Scheduler: Update Custom Properties option also (which means no macro needed).
Either way make sure to keep a back of the toolbox data.

If you are using non network version of Toolbox, you have the option of saving your toolbox parts into a specified folder in your computer.
This will create an indivitual copy of the toolbox part and you have the full control of these parts and it's not read-only.
