When I create a 2D drawing from a SW part, threre is a note on each hole such as M20 thread from the part - Is there a way to hide these notes (not manually select each note and hide it?
I know there is an option somewhere but I couldn't find it
I assume you are retrieving dimensions.
Turn off (before retrieving) hole information and then retrieve by Feature on one hole (of each size).
Use Feature Pattens on the part where appropriate rather than multiple features.
actually, I don't want to have any model dim on the 2D view and when I create the view, the hole note anonation is automatically added to the view and I want to avoid this
I believe you can prevent that from happening by making sure the thread callout option is unchecked in the HW feature.
I have hole extruded and add cosmetic thread added to the hole - in this case, the thread call out is grey out - how to turn it off
redo the part using the hole wizard?
I have not found a way to prevent that showing up from a separately added cosmetics thread (at least in 2012).
also there is the hide/show annotations tool (under view menu) that would reduce teh clicks needed to hide all of those notes.
Too bad that I have part with many holes made this way and redo would be a time consumming

Did you make your holes the correct tap drill size (or did you make them the fastener OD size)?
Is this box checked when you insert the view? And if it was, can you click on the drawing view and un-check it? I never use imported annotations so I'm not sure about this but it's worth a try.
it's unchecked but the notes are still there
You might have "Import Annotations" checked on inserting the views.
that didn't stop it for me.
