I am trying to draw a foil wound electro magnet that uses a continuous copper ribbon as the conducter. It can be envisioned as like a typical roll of tape. I've been goofing around with spirals the last couple day and while I have been able to make things similar to what I'm looking for it only seems to work in two dimensions; I can't give the tape/foil width or thickness.

Any Ideas?
