Is there a way to build a structured hex mesh in SolidWorks Simulation ?
Nope. Currently solidworks uses Tetrahedral, Triangular and beam elements to mesh all the solid, sheetmetal and structural bodies. Hexagonal(brick) is not available in solidworks simulation
Yes. You need to have the package known as "SolidWorks Simulation Premium". There is a separate interface known as "GeoSTAR". In that interface, there are hexahedral (brick) elements.
Can we run it in solidworks simulation premium?? I hope no. Geostar-->Cosmosworks-->Solidworks simulation.. Hope in future it gets added in solidworks..eagerly waiting..
For you and the op, what can't you do with the current functionality that you need hex?
