I have a question about exploding blocks.
The block is fine, as seen on the screen dump.
But when i try to explode the block, it goes crazy.
Since im a newbie i really need som advice.
Anna's advice is good. but if you are set on using SW for this, you can edit the block in place, rather than exploding it - right click edit block, or double click on the block.
I can't imagine why you would explode that block.
What are you expecting to see?
What would you do with the elements after exploding?
Well, i exploded the block so i could change different parts in the drawing. And i didnt expext to see the mess.
Are you doing 2D drafting in the SolidWorks slddrw file?
Why not use Draftsight? It is a good 2D AutoCAD clone that is free. Will be much easier to work with if all you are doing is 2D work.
Looks like the original block wasn't fully constrained before you exploded it.
I'd go with Jeremy's idea - edit it in place.
Thanks alot for all your answers. The problem is a result of me being a beginner at Solidworks.
I´ll check out Draftsight, and also check if the block really is fully constrained - just for understanding the "problem".
