    Fatigue simulation mesh error

    Pedro Braga

I'm having trouble with the fatigue study.

I'm analysing the stress in wheels on two kinds of simulation. The first is a static study with strengh apply on the middle of the wheel axis. The second is a rotational study using a centrifugal force.

After the results of both studies, i start the fatigue analysis, applying then on two events, using exactly the SAME MESH. But every time that i run the analysis, the simulation warning me that the mesh are not the same - like this: "not the same mesh as in other studies for study".

Anyone can help me understand what is happening? and how can i finish the fatigue analysis.

      Thank you!

in a fatigue analysis it is just mapping the results from the studies you pick to the fatigue analysis

if the meshes aren't the same, it doesn't know how to map

so what you can do, is mesh and run one analysis, then drag and drop the mesh from that analysis to your other study, run that analysis and both should have the same mesh and that should make fatigue analysis happy.
