Just create the templates you want, it's not hard and you will have it set up the way you want it, every time.

It looks like you will have to do a reinstall to set the default. You could make templates in the units you desire to avoivd reinstalling but you know that. Not much help... sorry.

When I installed solidworks I set the system to MM. How can I change it to Inches? Not just for documents but for the whole system.
