Is anyone else (using SW 2013) having problems with the font height going smaller when you double-click on the text inside a given box? It is set to "obey" the default font settings. I've looked through the forums and havn't found anything like this.
Any assistance to fix this irritating thing would be greatful. I'm having to spend a lot of time and effort to get all of the font the same height.
That sounds like another obvious glitch that shouldn't even be a problem. Good grief, what are these SW designers doing? Honestly I'd rather have a core system that works as expected than all these new lights and shiny crap they come out with every quarter. 90% of their stuff hasn't worked since 2008 and earlier.
No, I haven't tried that yet because I haven't made any changes to it. I just need the BOM to work; I don't have to reformat it or anything.
The issue I mentioned is so minor and so easily fixed that it isn't worth getting upset over. I'll be the first to agree that the software isn't perfect, and I don't hesitate to point out problems, but I don't think it's all that bad. And I could name a number of new features since SW2008 that work very well.
If you don't want to try my suggestion that's fine. Maybe someone else will have a better one.
It is that bad if these issues continue to hamper progress in actually getting my job done. I don't have time to sit here and babysit every little issue that comes up that should be ironclad in it's functionality as it relates to the core mechanics of the software. They shouldn't introduce new gadgets and gizmos that don't really further the functionality until they fix ones that have been reported and continue to remain broken...case in point: The "PunchID" bug.
Regardless, I didn't say I wouldn't try your suggestion. My point was, I have a hard time believing it will improve anything due to the fact there is nothing in the templete that I actually need to change. I just want the BOM to obey the programming rules it is supposed to already have.
were having a similer problem here to. our font stays the same but any manual changes in our weldment bom resets the row height. again not a big issue but adds a few more clicks to the process
My BOM template is set up with the top row (BOM Name) a larger font, and it frequently reverts to the same font as the rest of the table. That's the only problem I've noticed with BOM fonts.
After getting one the way you want, have you tried re-saving your BOM template?
