Yes, you can do this through the SolidWorks API. The api is visual basic or C++ so if you know either application it should be pretty straight forward.

With autocad it is possible to connect drawing information to an Access or SQL database and then also to connect database information to the drawings. I have not been able to source any info on this for Solidworks.
Is it possible to connect Solidworks properties to an Access database and also to retrieve values from a database query back to the Solidworks drawign sheets?
