i want to check how much load this block from a wedge jack can bear
but, when i give 20 ton it says some fos value
when i give 30 ton it says different fos value
can't able to find exactly the breaking point of this block. can anyone suggest this please.
Jebakumar,
You have to get a different FOS when you apply two different loads to the part. Is the FOS for 20 tons 50% higher than it is for 30 tons? If it is, then you can just multipy the load by the FOS for that load to get the theoretical breaking point for the part.
