When I used Inventor 2 years ago, I can change one of Microsoft Excel file than the hole callout note changed.
Doed anyone know if there a way can be done in Solidworks?
I believe that you can do something similar in SolidWorks, but I have never messed with it myself. I can't open SolidWorks right now, but I think if you look in some of the options having to do with file locations you will find a file that has the hole callout data.
The formatting for hole callouts is controlled by the Hole Callout Format File.
C:\Program Files\SolidWorks Corp 2013\SolidWorks\lang\english\calloutformat.txt
Backup the file before you modify it. If you modify the file it is best to put it in a network location and path to it under System Options > File Locations > Hole Callout Format File That way all engineers can use the same formatting and the file will not be over-written when you install a new version of SolidWorks.
At the bottom of the file is a legend for all the tags. Experiment with the callouts to see what you can do.
Up To Next and Through All will give different results for a callout. I have our calloutformat.txt file modified to show THRU.
If you have any questions on how to format a callout, ask and we can help with syntax for the calloutformat.txt file.
Thank you very much for your answer. I will try it next week as I have to do some drawings fro the production.
Thanks for your picture. I have done like your way for the past. But it only changes in one instance.
If you can the change the "calloutformat.txt" file, than it will work in all the new drawings.
