I have been trying the sheet metal: forming tools tutorial for the last week and i have been running into an issue when you get to step
"Opening the Model and Inserting a Forming Tool"
When it asks you to open the design library and to the sample_louver to the part face, I run into an issue.
It imports just like any other design library item, asking me if im trying to make a derived part (i click yes because if i click no, or cancel nothing happens)
i then have to use the locate part panel to position the part, different from how the tutorial describes the process.
I am able to force the louvers into position, but when i go into the next step it doesnt recognize it as a forming tool. and the only advice the tutorial gives
is to try again when that happens.
Im unsure of how to proceed, or where to find a solution. Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm hoping to attempt the certification by the end of the month.
RMB on the forming tools folder and check "Forming Tools Folder" Because the forming tool is a sldprt file SolidWorks needs to know to treat the file as a forming tool as opposed to a regular part file when inserting into a model.
Cheers,
Anna
