Does anyone know if SW can so this or something similiar:
You might be able to acheive something that looks similar using the deform feature on an existing body with indentations like that, but you won't have good control over it and I wouldn't count on it being manufacturable.
This is one of the reasons Rhino is such a good companion software to SolidWorks.
Thanks, I will give this a shot
For What? If it is possible to use Rhino with this function together with SW! ! ! I Often use at some projects
It is for taking an imported scan (STL Ffile) of a human knee and wraping an already designed knee brace around it. The reason I am trying to do this with solidworks is because I do not have a license or trainning on Rhino
Not yet, but I have huge hopes that SW 20xy SP3.0 will do that (where 1<=x<=2 and 0<=y<=9).
What for? if it is simpler to make difficult preparation in SW (not such as in a roller), and to develop on any surface in rhino! It is necessary to look that it is simpler to make and where.
In SW it is possible, but it will be labor-consuming...
