What is the best way to install SolidWorks 2013 along with SP1 and upgrade SolidWorks 2012 if found? Current environment will not allow an Administrative image installation.
Well, if you can't run an installer from an administrative image then you probably can't do a push install from active directory.
Your only remaining alternative is to go machine-by-machine and run 'check for updates' under the SolidWorks installation manager program group.
Why is the administrative image not an option?
I keep one on a portable harddrive. It's a lot easier than having to step through the installer on everybody's machine.
I was assuming that the Administrative install or image meant that the client will require that the source files be available for upgrades and such. We could push to the clients as long as those clients do not need to be able to connect back to the source files. Maybe I am misinterpreting what Administrative image means?
