I have an older assembly that I am working with where I am unable to turn on/off planes, centerlines, sketches, etc.... Most of the items on this toolbar are greyed out. Any ideas?

If you go to the View menu, have you got "Hide All Types" selected? When I uncheck that on my system most of the items in the "Hide/Show Items" drop down list are no longer greyed out.
