I am an industrial designer working for a furniture company. We mostly do commercial and hospitality furniture. Government, educational facilities, hotels, restaurants retirement homes and more.
My job is to design original furniture from sketches and prototype models up to full production of 1000's of units including imported parts and off the shelf components, so my designs may have downloaded adjustable feet or brackets from a suppliers website.
I am using Solidworks 2013 primarily, but also Rhino 5. I have been doing a fair few renders in Keyshot 4, but the nature of that program is that it is not ideal for interiors. I am now looking at Maxwell render or Luxology Modo. One thing though is that I have done a few keyshot VR's and we are thinking seriously about putting rotate-able VR's of products on our website. Also I would like to do some animations showing how our office systems go together or fly through's of hotel rooms.
Since you haven't gotten any responses here, you might want to ask this question in the rendering forums, PhotoWorks and PhotoView 360. I would guess the latter gets more traffic now, since it has been quite a while since the switch from Photoworks.
