I have an assembly in which some parts are difficult to select.  From most viewpoints a part behind is selected as if the part is invisible to the cursor, I can only select it with the cursor if I turn the model so that the part has no parts behind it.

This isn't possible in some cases, for instance an access pannel that is recessed into the flat surface of the main casing.
