I am trying to mirror an assembly that was built and constrained to a sketch. When I do the mirror command, some pieces mirror correctly and others are turned upside down or inside out. I am wondering if this is caused from the original model being contstrained to that sketch? I ask that because the constraints in the mirrored assembly do not appear to be "valid" and nothing is constrained any more.
is there a way to mirror an assembly without having to go thru every piece and select the "opposite hand" option for the ones that are backwards, upside down, etc. Also, can the sketch be mirrored as well if THAT is what is holding the assembly together?
Thanks in advance,
T
Troy,
It's hard to say without your assembly, or at least a picture of it, to say if there is a problem with the mirror that is caused by the sketch itself, although it seems very unlikely to me.
You can't mirror the sketch as part of a mirror feature. You might be able to create a copy of the sketch and then use the Sketch Tools/Modify to mirror the copied sketch.
